If you are considering a boudoir session, you are probably a bit nervous. Women ask me all kinds of questions, so I wanted to make a list of my most frequently asked questions to give you some insight into a boudoir session with me:
Do you share my images?
Your privacy is our top priority. We never share a client’s images without written consent. After you see your images at your ordering appointment, you’ll fill our our Privacy and Permissions Form. You can select which images you are comfortable sharing (all photos; anonymous photos; none of my photos) and you can also select where those images are used (in-studio album samples only, private Facebook group, website, IG, etc).
Do I have to wear lingerie?
Nope. You should wear what you feel most comfortable in! You can bring a dress, sweater, pair of cowgirl boots, or choose to wear nothing at all! Your photo session should reflect who you are, and that means outfits that you love!

Is professional hair and make-up included?
Yes! Hair and make-up is always included in your session fee and our talented make-up artist can create whatever look you want. It’s so nice to arrive for your session and have a bit of time to relax and be pampered before you jump in front of the camera. My make-up artist is also familiar with the lighting in my studio and her make-up translates beautifully in your finished photos.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we offer no-interest payment plans in the studio to help women afford our luxury services. The session fee is due at the time of booking to hold your date on our calendar. Your photos are selected at your ordering appointment a week or two after your session and that’s when you’ll pay for your products. We accept credit cards, offer 5% discount for any portion of your order payed in cash and offer in-house payment plans which can be spread over 6 months.

Do you retouch my images?
Yes! All your photos are fully edited before you see them at your ordering appointment. I edit images for light and color balance and do a light skin retouching. I do not edit your body shape or anything that is permanent. For example, freckles, birth marks, stretch marks are all part of what makes you unique, so I won’t edit those things out of your photos. That said, if you have a specific request, just let me know. I typically edit 60 photos and show you both the color and black and white versions.
What type of products do you offer?
I am an artist, and I want you to leave the studio with artwork. I work with luxury vendors in the USA for leather-bound albums, portfolio boxes with matted prints, metal art and framed prints. I print your photographs on a large format printer in the studio using archival inks and papers. I also offer one-of-a-kind paintings and digital art, and we can collaborate to select photos that translate well into an artwork. The products you choose are the way you will remember your boudoir experience over time.

Do you have lingerie in the studio? Where should I buy my outfits?
After you book your session, you’ll receive our Welcome Guide in the mail and a series of emails that will help you prepare. There are lots of suggestions on places to shop and wardrobe ideas. We do also have a lingerie closet in the studio. We have lots of sheer and lace robes, many bodysuits and teddies and shoes in a variety of sizes from XS to 4X. We’ll also do a wardrobe consultation a week or two before your session to make sure you are ready and answer any last minute questions.
How many outfits should I bring?
I suggest bringing 5-6 outfits but we typically shoot 4 different looks. There is never a time limit on your session because I only work with one client a day, but I do find most women get tired after 2 hours of shooting. This allows us time for 4-5 different looks. And remember that implied nudes are also considered a look.

Where is your studio located?
Our studio is located in the Oakland Hills. It is a residential studio which means there is free parking on the street, we have access to a kitchen for snacks, we can control the temperature in the space and you’ll have a dedicated bathroom and changing area for privacy.
How far in advance should I book?
If you need your products back by a certain date, you should make sure to schedule your photo session 6 weeks before that date just to be on the safe side! We are typically booked out 2-3 months in advance, so it’s helpful to call as and get a date on the calendar as soon as you decide to do a session.
